RECIPE: Strawberry Banana and Ginger Smoothie

Here’s a twist on an old favorite.  It’s great for breakfast, lunch, a snack or dessert.  Cool and crisp with the perfect amount of sweetness. No refined sugars and lots of fiber to keep you satisfied and your digestion functioning well.


Strawberry Banana and Ginger

In a blender combine:


2 cups of almond milk (or 1 cup milk and 1 cup water)

5 frozen strawberries (or fresh, even better)*

1 frozen banana*

1/2 – 1 inch cube of ginger root

1 dash of cinnamon


*could add 1/4 cup of ice and use unfrozen fruit as well

The “fruits of your labor” are a refreshing snack, dessert, or just the thing for that sweet craving on a hot summer day.

In a blender combine:

1 cup organic strawberries

2 cups chopped watermelon

1 orange (peeled, seeds ok)

1 cup ice

1/2 cup water

Pour mixture into cube trays or popsicle trays and enjoy the left-over as a smoothie!
