RECIPE: Granola Crumble

All aboard the Coconut Oil-is-the-Greatest-New-Superfood-Good-Fat Train!

What can’t coconut oil do? It can remove make-up, heal abrasions, moisturize skin, reduce wrinkles, fight infections and make food taste delicious!

It’s a great oil to use cooking at high heat and it’s great in this Granola Crumble recipe. I dare you not to try it!crumble ingredients

In a bowl/blender/food processor combine:

1 cup Gluten Free Oats

6 Medjool Dates, pitted

1-2 Tbsp Coconut Oil

1 Tbsp Cinnomon

Pinch of Salt

Choose a favorite sliced-fruit to crumble this over or bake in to crumble cups to use throughout the week

Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Also Delicious with vanilla ice cream. Just sayin’. crumble cups

She has participated with Operation Smile in Russia, she has patients in North Carolina, Maine, Oregon and New Zealand. Dr. Vanstory has worked the medical tents in the Marine Corps marathon in Washington DC and at the Kona Ironman World Championships. And Dr. Vanstory has marched with the Surgeon General promoting "Exercise is Medicine" at the World Congress Sports Medicine Conference. Disillusioned by the current health care system and armed with the realization that culture, nutrition and emotional well-being have a profound impact on health, Dr. Vanstory now motivates clients and patients to discover the healthiest versions of themselves through humor, counseling in her "Upgrade Your Health" Wellness Program.

  1. I can’t do oatmeal. Repeatedly tried historically. But, I’ve found I can replace it sometimes with hemp and get a similar texture for bars and cobblers. Of course, hemp probably shouldn’t be baked, but I do it sometimes anyhow. But this recipe looks great. Thought I’d share about the hemp in case you could use it for someone else you may work with.
